Plato lunar crater and Montes Alpes

These images of Plato crater are newer. You can see differences in soil composition on Mare Frigoris (Sea of cold) that has a diameter of 1.446 km.

Plato Moon crater astronomy telescope .
It is interesting that Plato's floor is very smooth and has no craters. It seems to have been flooded by lava during the time when our Moon was a ball of lava.
